A full, fixed smile you don't take out
All-on-X uses a small number of carefully placed implants to support a fixed bridge that replaces all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw.
All-on-X is a way to replace a full arch of teeth, upper or lower, using several dental implants as anchors. The X stands for the number of implants, often four to six, chosen for your jaw. A full-arch bridge of teeth is attached to those implants and stays in place. Unlike a regular denture, it is not taken out at night, and it does not rest on your gums or need adhesive.
Living with failing teeth or a loose denture can affect what you eat, how you speak and how you feel in public. Many people avoid foods they love or hide their smile. A fixed full-arch bridge is designed to feel more like natural teeth, so chewing and speaking often feel more secure. Because the implants sit in the jawbone, they can also help support the bone in those areas.
At Progressive Dental Office in Hialeah, full-arch care starts with a careful evaluation of your health, bone, gums and bite. Dr. Jonathan Guzman and Dr. Jovanny Guzman walk you through what the process involves, how long it may take and which options fit your situation. Not everyone is a candidate, and some people need bone grafting first. We will give you honest answers so you can choose with confidence.
Is All-on-X right for you?
- You are missing most or all of your upper or lower teeth
- Many of your remaining teeth are failing, loose or badly decayed
- Your denture slips, rubs or makes eating hard
- You are tired of using denture adhesive
- You want teeth that stay in and do not come out at night
- You are ready to replace a full arch with one complete plan
How it works, step by step.
Full evaluation
We review your health, take X-rays and study your bone, gums and bite to see if All-on-X fits.
Plan your new smile
We plan implant positions and the look of your new teeth, and explain the full timeline.
Surgery day
Any remaining failing teeth are removed and the implants are placed. A temporary set of teeth is often attached during healing.
Final bridge
After the implants heal, typically over several months, your final full-arch bridge is made and fitted.
Your comfort
Full-arch surgery is a bigger procedure, and it is normal to feel nervous. The treatment area is fully numbed, and we explain each step before we begin. Most patients have soreness and swelling for several days afterward, which is usually managed with medication and rest. We will explain your numbing and comfort options at your consultation and stay in touch closely during the first days of healing.
Healing & aftercare
Plan to take it easy for a few days after surgery. You will follow a soft-food diet for a period of time while the implants bond with the bone, which typically takes several months. Keeping the area clean is very important, and we will show you how. After your final bridge is placed, daily cleaning, regular checkups and professional maintenance help your new teeth last for many years.
Cost, insurance & financing
The cost of All-on-X depends on whether you are treating one arch or both, how many implants you need, whether extractions or bone grafting are required and the material of your final bridge. Some dental plans cover part of the treatment, such as extractions. We accept CareCredit and can discuss financing options. We always give you the cost before we start, so you know exactly what to expect.

Common questions
All-on-4 uses four implants to support a full arch of teeth. All-on-X is a broader term that means the number of implants is chosen for your jaw. Some patients need four, while others do better with five or six, depending on bone and bite. We will recommend a number after your evaluation.
In many cases, a temporary fixed set of teeth can be attached soon after the implants are placed, so you are not without teeth while you heal. Whether this is possible depends on your bone and how stable the implants are. We will tell you what to expect for your case before surgery.
A regular denture rests on your gums and is taken out to clean and sleep. All-on-X is fixed to implants, so it stays in your mouth and does not slip. Many people find it feels more secure for chewing and speaking. Only your dentist can remove it, usually during professional cleanings.
With good home care and regular professional visits, the implants can last for many years. The bridge itself may need repairs or replacement over time due to normal wear. Not smoking, cleaning daily and keeping your checkup schedule are some of the most important things you can do to protect your investment.
Often, yes. All-on-X implants are placed in planned positions that can help make use of the bone you have. In some cases, bone grafting may be needed first. After reviewing your X-rays, we will explain what your bone can support and whether any extra steps are needed.
